The Canal Is Open, At Long Last – Thursday, 11 am, Venice Island. Come and see!

For years, you see the Canal, you think to yourself “Dang, if water was flowing through it, wouldn’t that be nice”

and you’d have been right! The historic old waterway has been static for so many years and now, it is in motion one more time.

Maybe you’ve noticed the water swirling much more quickly downstream than before. Perhaps a duck struggling to make it’s way upstream? And yes! The water is nicer and will be nicer as time flows by.

Thursday morning, 11 am, Philadelphia Water Department’s efforts will be officially acknowledged at Venice Island Performing Arts Center. Come on down,
