Overview
Celebrate the re-introduction of fresh water to the Manayunk Canal in over 75 years! Join us to learn about the water quality improvements, speak with local partners for the project, and watch a mussel presentation from PWD Scientists.
The Community event begins at 11 am, with speakers and presentations starting at 11:30 am. Educational tables, activities, and refreshments will be in the lobby and by the Canal.
- 11:00 am – Event starts
- 11:30 am–12:30 pm – Presentations in the theater
- 12:30–2:00 pm – Tabling & refreshments
- 1:00 pm – Ceremonial ribbon cutting on Lock St Bridge.
A small gate opening ceremony will take place at the nearby site of the Flat Rock Dam.
