SUMMARY:The Fallser Presents Judy Paster and The Fractals
DESCRIPTION:Tickets $20 online and $25 at the door (Online tickets end at 6pm on the day of the show.)\nDoors at 7pm\nTickets\n \nTickets for good\, not greed \n100% of profits from your small booking fee helps fund charities providing education\, healthcare and basic necessities to humans across the globe! \n  \n10% off Taqueria Crestawith your Fallser Club ticket!!\n  \nJudy Paster\n  \nJudy Paster is a Nashville-based\, Pennsylvania-grown Americana artist whose music carries the soul of her story—honest\, authentic\, and full of hope. She began writing songs at age 8\, using music to process pain\, faith\, and a longing for peace after a childhood marked by trauma and loss. Later\, her father’s battle with Alzheimer’s and a season of living on the road out West further shaped both her heart and her voice. \nHer debut with The Judy Paster Trio features two Grammy-winning members of The Time Jumpers\, weaving fiddle\, upright bass\, and acoustic guitar into a rich\, rootsy sound. Her songs have been featured in film and TV (Christmas Crush\, The Holiday Exchange\, Music City Mistletoe)\, and she first gained national attention when Billboard called her “an artist truly on the rise” following the release of her debut EP. Since moving to Nashville\, Judy has earned airplay\, carved out a place in the singer-songwriter scene\, and received multiple awards\, including the 2021 Josie Music Award for Folk/Americana Artist of the Year and a Canadian Covenant Award (Canada’s equivalent of the Dove Award) for co-writing Jazz Blues Song of the Year. \nShe has written and shared stages with some of Music City’s top writers\, released five albums (Judy Paster\, Stronger\, Rubies\, Rocks & Stones\, Like Stardust\, Road to the Sun)\, and several singles. Judy is also part of Women Behind the Lyrics—a national tour and upcoming reality TV series that follows the lives of\nfour female Country artists living and touring together. \nShe frequently performs at the world-famous Bluebird Cafe and has graced many of Nashville’s premier stages. Through it all\, her music remains a steady companion—for herself and for others—offering light\, strength\, and something real in a world that too often sells the opposite. \n \n \n  \n@judypastermusic \nInstagram \nFacebook \nSpotify \nYouTube  \n  \n  \nThe Fractals\n   \nPhotos: Lisa Schaffer \nGuess what happens when a trio of three martini lunches staggers toward a ragged copy of “Respect For Acting\,” stumbling over bellbottom into plasticine porters\, hissing like 8-Tracks\, knocking over emo kids with Flying Vees? The Fractals\, that’s what happens\, and they have been happening for ten years. Tearing it up mercilessly in a cyclonic maelstrom of Stevie-cum-Angus-cum-Fagan\, with outer bands of Zeppelin and Trane\, the whirling dervish that is The Fractals is not to be ignored. Kevin Hanson\, lead singer and songwriter\, has performed and recorded with the likes of Usher\, Jay-Z\, The Roots\, Musiq Soulchild and countless others. He appears in the acclaimed films “Fade To Black” as a band member for Jay-Z’s “farewell concert) and Dave Chappelle’s “Block Party” as a member of the house band . His distinctive songwriting is what has drawn so many to both Huffamoose and his current band. His compositions and masterful guitar playing are the spinal cord of The Fractals. Jim Stager\, bassist\, has performed and recorded with hundreds of artists\, ranging from Rosemary Clooney (!) to the legendary punk band “X”. His mastery of rock and jazz merge in a style that has earned him a place in the pantheon of Philadelphia’s notable session greats. \nErik Johnson\, drummer\, has performed or recorded with countless artists in myriad styles. His credits include: Ben Schachter’s Trio of Many\, George Garzone\, Tim Hagans\, Jack Walrath\, Gary Bartz\, John Swana\, Jef Lee Johnson\, Ralph Bowen\, Larry McKenna\, Jim Ridl\, Jamaaladeen Tacuma\, Kurt Elling\, Gerald Veasley\, Lelia Broussard\, Liz Longley. In addition to his legendary status as a jazz virtuoso\, his drumming has served  as the heartbeat for a striking range of\nPhiladelphia’s singer-songwriter community. His fiercely original expressiveness on drums and soaring background vocals have\nbecome vital to The Fractals’ sound. The Fractals have recently completed their first full-length offering\, “Heavy Rotation” and are currently performing in the Philly area in support of their new release. Their live performances are not to be missed\, and their shows have gained notoriety among local musicians and fans alike as remarkable musical events. \n \n  \n  \nWebsite: https://thefractalsband.com/\nYouTube\nFacebook\nInstagram

SUMMARY:The Fallser Presents - Philly Gumbo: New Orleans R & B\, Funk\, Reggae\, Blues and Soul
DESCRIPTION:Tickets $20 online and $25 at the door \n  \nTicket\n(opens in a new tab) \nTickets for good\, not greed\nWe have partnered with Humanitix. 100% of profits from your small booking fee helps fund charities providing education\, healthcare\, and basic necessities to humans across the globe!\n\n10% off Taqueria Crestawith your Fallser Club ticket!!\n  \nPhilly Gumbo’s distinctive blend of New Orleans R & B\, funk\, reggae\, blues and soul has made it a unique and popular presence on the Philadelphia music scene for thirty years.  Over the years\, the band has been a “Best Of” selection by Philadelphia Magazine in their annual “Best Of Philadelphia” issues as well as having played most of the top venues in the area such as The Kimmel Center\, The Sellersville Theater and World Café Live and such major events as the Atlantic City Summer Jazz Festival\, Musikfest\,  Jambalaya Jam\, Jam On The River\, WRTI-FM’s Groovin’ In The Park\, the Media Blues Stroll\, The West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival and many more. Philly Gumbo has opened for such greats as Dr. John\, Buddy Guy &  Jr. Wells\, Rick Danko & Levon Helm of The Band and Mutabaruka. Having pioneered the live music scene at the legendary South Street venue Bacchanal\, Philly Gumbo was often joined by such special guests as Todd Rundgren\, David Lindley\, Teddy Royal of Fats Domino’s band\, members of Harold Melvin & The Blues Notes’ band and others.  In addition\, members of Philly Gumbo have played with such legends as Little Milton\, Wilson Pickett\, Bo Diddley and Big Youth. \n       “Philly Gumbo’s long-term popularity has come from two things\,” notes founding member Randall Grass: “an ability to play an authentic and unique mix of New Orleans \nR & B\, funk\, reggae\, blues and soul\, and the presence of great singers\, such as Brenda Smith\, Walt Taylor\, Jeannie Brooks\, Richard Johnson\, and current lead vocalist India Rex.” \n     Formed in late 1980\, the band quickly developed a following at the Germantown club \nTakers Café with a unique mix of music reminiscent of New Orleans group The Neville Brothers.  As such\, the group pioneered the popularity of New Orleans music in Philadelphia\, with a celebrated weekly gig at Bacchanal for nearly a decade. The band released its debut single “Holy War b/w Mardi Gras” in 1984 and contributed the original song “Xmas In New Orleans” to the Seasons Greetings Philadelphia benefit CD in 1999. \nFour members of  Philly Gumbo—drummer Tim Hayes\, bassist Bert Harris\, guitarist Pete Eshelman and keyboardist Randall Grass–have been the core of the band since the beginning while saxophonist Richard Orr often sat in with the band as early as the 80’s and vocalist extraordinaire India Rex\, is the latest in a long line of exceptional vocalists. The band released a new CD “Come And Get It” in 2011. A Philly Gumbo performance makes a great listening experience\, with its ever-shifting mix of New Orleans R & B\, blues\, jazz\, funk\, reggae\, soul\, and even African music\, but is equally suited for dancing. \nThe band appeals to a people of all ages and backgrounds. In fact\, it is difficult to resist getting up and shaking your groove thing to Philadelphia’s greatest groove band! \nFacebook

Her 2022 debut record\, Bible Belt Baby\, was nominated for Best Pop Album at the San Diego Music Awards and was named one of the Top Ten Queer Country Albums of 2023 by Rainbow Rodeo Magazine. Flamy is a winner of the 2023 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Competition and a nominee for the 2023 QueerX Award for Best Drag Artist. She has been featured in Rolling Stone\, Entertainment Weekly\, People\, Billboard\, and more. Both a powerhouse vocalist and an intrepid songwriter\, Flamy blends the art of drag with her iconic folk/rock sound to create a memorable musical experience. \nFlamy is the first drag performer to appear on Christian music charts\, with both her song “Good Day” and her Album Bible Belt Baby reaching #1 on iTunes — the latter staying at the top for nine consecutive days. Additionally\, “Good Day” debuted at #20 on Billboard’s Christian digital sales chart. Her music has over 750\,000 streams on Spotify\, Apple\, and Amazon. Flamy has collaborated with Adeem the Artist\, Jennifer Knapp\, Semler\, and Derek Webb. In addition to playing the New Folk winner’s showcase at the 2023 Kerrville Folk Festival\, she has played Wild Goose Festival in North Carolina\, San Diego Pride’s SheFest\, and headlined Blount County Pride in East Tennessee\, where she won a court victory after a local district attorney threatened to enforce Tennessee’s drag ban. \nIt’s no accident that Flamy’s drag name is an homage to Amy Grant\, the undisputed queen of Christian music and 90s chart-topping pop artist. Much of Flamy’s music centers on the queer spiritual journey\, telling stories of resilience and recovery from religious trauma in a world where LGBTQ+ people are frequently ignored by\, harmed in\, or ejected from religious spaces. With a bold lip\, a big lash\, and a blistering voice\, Flamy drags audiences to a soulful\, uplifting church of her own making. This down-to-earth diva has entertained music lovers from Los Angeles to Nashville with her funny\, frank\, and fabulous songs. \n“Her vocals soar… A mix of Wynona Judd smokiness and Dolly Parton realness. This immersive event includes a one-hour pre-show community gathering—a safe\, empowering space for reflection and healing\, where Mae\, a seasoned song chant leader\, leads a support circle\, chant workshop\, and meditation open to all ticket buyers. Following this\, she will deliver a concert\, debuting songs from her new double album. \nHeather will strengthen community ties and promote a night of mutual care and collective empowerment. \nHeather Mae is an evocative powerhouse rabble-rouser\nHeather Mae\, the acclaimed social justice singer-songwriter\, fearlessly bares her soul in her music\, creating an intimate space of shared vulnerability for her listeners. Her unbridled honesty\, both on and off stage\, has cultivated a devoted fanbase and garnered recognition\, including accolades like the winner of the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Songwriter Showcase and Northeast Regional Folk Alliance Artist-Activist of the Year award. \nIn her 2019 release\, “Glimmer\,” Heather Mae crafts a luminescent masterpiece\, drawing parallels to vocal powerhouses Adele and Sara Bareilles. With storytelling depth reminiscent of Florence Welch\, the record uniquely centers on mental health\, with each lyric unveiling a portrait of resilience and self-discovery. \nPositioned on the cusp of unveiling her upcoming post-pandemic double record\, Mae embarked on a mission to address the stark gender disparity for music producers—a mere 4% representation by women. In 2023\, Heather Mae rallied a dynamic collective of women and non-binary talents in Nashville\, assembling luminaries like producer ZDAN and Lollies\, alongside guest artists such as Grammy award-winning musician Allison Russell and the extraordinary duo Sistastrings. Together\, they crafted two electrifying albums in two distinct genres\, showcasing the unparalleled talent and versatility of women and non-binary music makers. \n \nOfficial Website:  https://www.heathermae.net/ \nYouTube: www.youtube.com/@HeatherMae \nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/heathermaemusic/ \nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/@heathermaemusicpage/

SUMMARY:Raji Malik and Adam Monaco at The Fallser
DESCRIPTION:Go. \nYour ears will thank you. \nRaji Malik is a “music medicine” man who offers a transformational experience wherever he plays. He has performed and recorded hard rock and instrumental Indian-influenced music in the Philadelphia area for the past 30 years.  He is self-taught and began playing the guitar at the age of 19.  Raji’s initial musical influences were the great rock guitarists Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin)\, Jimi Hendrix\, and David Gilmour (Pink Floyd).  Then he discovered Shakti\, featuring 3 masterful Indian musicians and guitar legend John Mclaughlin playing a modified sitar-like acoustic guitar.  Raji promptly put away his electric guitar and immersed himself in the pure tones of the acoustic guitar.  Raji finds deep inspiration in many brilliant “Modern Fingerstyle” guitarists\, all of whom are disciples of the late Michael Hedges\, who reinvented the acoustic guitar with his harmonic\, percussive playing.  Raji hopes that his music brings peace\, healing\, and inspiration. \n“Adam lives what he writes and writes what he lives\, allowing him to\ndeeply connect with those he plays for and alongside of.”\n– Trevor Gordon Hall \nThese words will certainly ring true with anyone who has experienced folk/Americana artist Adam Monaco’s thoughtful songwriting and\npoignant presence firsthand. Adam’s music is lush\, colorful\, melodic and takes root deep in the complex\, beautiful stories that connect humanity. His lyrics resonate like a conversation with an old friend: personal\, profound\, engaged\, and thought-provoking. His authentic performances showcase his ability to evoke the full range and complexity of human emotions; in one musical moment\, he can bring audiences to tears\, then lift them back up with\nwitty banter and a relatable anecdote.

SUMMARY:MUSIC IS MEDICINE WITH MICHAEL GULEZIAN\, TREVOR GORDON HALL\, AND RAJI MALIK
DESCRIPTION:Musical sound waves ripple out like water.  All of our actions ripple out into the world\, and kindness has medicinal powers\, just like music.   As these sound waves move through the air and our bodies\,  we experience relaxation\, process emotions\, and sense our interconnection.  May this music bring you a deeper appreciation of your goodness.  May we all continue to challenge ourselves to grow with honest self-reflection so that we may more clearly channel love. \n\nMichael Gulezian\n \nMichael Gulezian (gu-LAY-ze-in) is one of the most highly acclaimed solo acoustic instrumental guitarists of our time. He’s a phenomenal technical guitarist with the rare ability to transcend his own virtuosity\, creating music that touches and moves people at the deepest level – boundary-free\, mind-opening\, emotionally imbued\, horizon-expanding\, spiritually inspired\, genre-bending\, transcendent\, soulful\, joyful\, kickass\, exquisitely gorgeous instrumental solo acoustic guitar music – music that quite literally defies description. Fred Kraus\, of Minor 7th .com recently wrote that Gulezian “might be the most accomplished pure guitarist on the planet.” He’s been called the musical link between John Fahey and Michael Hedges. Artists as diverse as Michael Hedges\, Willy Porter\, and Henry Kaiser have claimed him as a primary musical influence; young lions Erik Mongrain\, Andy McKee\, and Trevor Gordon Hall are quick to acknowledge him as an inspiration. In concert\, Michael is all warmth and humor … and though it’s visually breathtaking to watch him perform\, a concert with Michael is more than a display of cutting-edge virtuosity – it is the passionate communion of master musician engaged with his audience in the mystery of self-revelation\, creating music of atmospheric power\, ecstatic joy\, and haunting beauty. Michael has an online audience at Pandora of 10\,000 monthly listeners\, and 16 million cumulative streams. If you enjoy the artistry of guitarists such as Leo Kottke and Michael Hedges – virtuoso musicians whose music touches the soul – then you will love Michael Gulezian. \n“Michael Gulezian … might be the most accomplished pure guitarist on the planet.  compositional genius. … a magisterial ode to a quiet\, breathing awe … a religious experience … the sense of a person playing a guitar disappears into the music … transcends music and reaches into the ethereal world.  … astounding … cosmic.”  – Fred Kraus\, Minor 7th .com \n“… ingenuity and mastership. Michael Gulezian uses his guitar as a medium to pour out his soul. Every note that comes from Gulezian transgresses our indoctrinated notions of what music is and what music does … name the un-nameable and communicate the unknowable.”  – The Manitou Messenger\, ST. OLAF COLLEGE \n“Gulezian rips … but for all his virtuosic ferocity\, Michael never loses sight of the melody\, or the drama of his compositions.”  – Acoustic Guitar Magazine \n“Michael Gulezian puts his entire heart and soul\, his entire being\, into every song he does live.  … incredible passion\, and unbelievable technical skill … that rare breed of artist who combines astounding virtuosity with emotional intensity.  ‘Michael Hedges Goes to Heaven’ is the most stunning guitar tribute I have ever heard.”  – Dore Stein. Producer / Host\, Tangents Music Radio \n“Michael Gulezian carries the legacy of pioneering guitarists John Fahey and Leo Kottke into the 21st century. … extraordinary talent.  … sublime control and deep absorption of disparate styles\, from the brawny soulfulness of the Delta masters\, to the ethereal arabesques of Persian court music\, to the playful syncopations of American jazz.”  – Doug DeLoach\, Creative Loafing \n“… epoch-breaking …”  – John Fahey \n“… uncommonly thoughtful and provocative … sweeping story-like melodies\, multi-dimensional epics\, and heartland hymns. … smart\, uplifting … not to be missed.”  – Jazz Times \n“… unbelievable … incredible … music from another planet.” \n– JAZZIZ Magazine \n \n  \nMichael Gulezian Socials:\nhttps://www.timbrelinemusic.com/ \nyoutube \nInstagram \npatreon \nbandcamp \npandora \nfacebook musician page \nfacebook personal \n  \nTrevor Gordon Hall\n  \nTrevor has established himself as a unique and pioneering voice on the international stage\, albeit one who speaks through his guitar and every sound that it’s capable of\, rather than words. On top of a touring calendar that’s taken him through 17 countries and counting\, his discography has amassed millions of listens and views through streaming services such as Spotify and YouTube\, allowing his music to connect meaningfully with listeners across all borders\, regardless of their language or location. Since emerging on the fringe of the Philadelphia\, USA\, music scene as a young guitar virtuoso in the early 2000s\, Trevor’s fingerpicking style of textured instrumentalism took little time to leave an impression on listeners. He was rated a top 30 under 30 guitarist by Acoustic Guitar Magazine and has shared the stage with or drawn praise from peers and guitar legends who helped blaze the path before him\, including the likes of John Mayer\, Steve Miller\, Graham Nash\, Steve Hackett\, Dar Williams\, Will Ackerman\, Pat Martino\, Stanley Jordan\, Phil Keaggy\, Tommy Emmanuel\, Pierre Bensusan and Andy McKee to name a few. He’s also been featured on NPR\, NBC\, PBS\, and many international outlets and publications around the world. While cutting his teeth in the clubs and coffeehouses of the Philadelphia suburbs early in his career\, Trevor caught the eye of ninetime Grammy award winning producer Joe Nicolo (James Taylor\, Billy Joel\, Bob Dylan) who produced two of Trevor’s releases\, “Finding My Way” and a Christmas album “Let Your Heart Be Light.” \nAs Trevor began to refine his sound and plot out his next compositions in a new decade\, he began to collaborate with various engineers to develop an instrument that combined his own redesign of the kalimba\, an African finger piano\, with an acoustic guitar. The resulting “kalimbatar” fully demonstrated Trevor’s ability to innovate as a songwriter and unlocked a new suite of sounds and textures that he was able to weave into his music. While he had explored the kalimba on earlier recordings in a limited capacity\, the kalimbatar phase of Trevor’s career was first fully realized on his 2011 Candyrat Records debut\, “Entelechy”\, which left a mark on the iTunes singer-songwriter and YouTube charts at the time\, gathering millions of views and widespread reach. Following on the success of Entelechy\, Trevor worked with master luthier Sheldon Schwartz to redesign the kalimbatar. Once perfected\, Trevor recorded his next album with longtime hero and decorated Grammy winner Will Ackerman\, the founder of Windham Hill Records\, which was a treasure trove of inspiration for Trevor on his musical journey. The resulting work\, titled “Mind Heart Fingers\,” was written to honor the acoustic guitar tradition that Windham Hill records popularized in the 1980s and 1990s. It was released in 2014 and peaked at #4 on the World International Music radio charts. This was followed up in 2015 with the first of an EP series\, titled “Kalimbatar Classics Vol. 1”\, which featured arrangements of classical piano standards reimagined by Trevor on the kalimbatar. \nNever one to rest on his laurels however\, Trevor swapped out the kalimbatar for electric guitars and electronic texturing with 2016’s “Late Night With Headphones\, Vol. 1”\, which revealed a moodier palette\, and a different side of his artistic reach. As he worked through each album on his artistic journey\, mining new connections\, it became clear that Trevor’s explorations of the guitar were leaving an impact on other artists around him. In 2018\, he was invited to share a stage with several other guitar titans\, most notably John Mayer and Steve Miller\, to honor the retirement of Dick Boak\, a renowned figure in the guitar world and an artist relations director for Martin Guitar. During that evening\, Mayer offered his admiration to Trevor\, praising his set and acknowledging Trevor’s usage of the kalimbatar as a humbling and refreshing reminder that the guitar is still revealing new approaches and sounds\, even after all of these generations. Trevor’s hard work and innovative writing had earned him recognition within the pantheon of guitar luminaries. With more command of his craft\, came more shows around the world and more opportunities to make new musical connections with other artists. Trevor has recorded and performed with dozens of musicians across the continents on a variety of different projects and compositions. \n2021’s “The Other World on Our Planet” is perhaps Trevor’s most dynamic example of branching out to new territory as a collaborator\, which saw Trevor utilizing his artistry to support a different discipline: investigative journalism. The EP serves as a musical compliment to The Outlaw Ocean\, a New York Times bestselling book about lawlessness on international waters by awardwinning reporter Ian Urbina. After several years of a life lived loudly — performing his music around the world and immersing himself in different cultures\, sounds and experiences — Trevor retreated to the solitude of his Pennsylvania home for his next solo album\, “This Beautiful Chaos.” Written in the early morning hours while his wife and daughter slept\, then recorded with Grammy winning Corin Nelsen\, the album finds him at his most vulnerable\, contemplating these growth experiences and channeling them into a set of warm\, vibrant songs. This is the sound of an artist who is fully confident in his voice\, free within his constraints and precise in what he has to say\, seasoned by years of literally growing up on record and stage. It’s a tantalizing signpost of what he’s capable of in the years ahead. Trevor’s style is recognizably his own\, but the next note he plays is never predictable\, or the obvious choice. This is a musical career you’ll want to stick around for\, because the next show or the next song is always a new possibility \n \n“…In the genre of intriguing guitar players Trevor really stands out. His music is both soothing and challenging…” Graham Nash – Crosby\, Still\, and Nash \n“…Creative imagination resides\, as well as flourishes within certain artists\, and it certainly does so in Trevor Gordon Hall. Ingenuity is something that always causes surprise\, and this gentleman’s abilities are totally exceptional…” Pat Martino – Jazz Guitarist \n“…Trevor Gordon Hall is clearly talented and his music is engaging…an innovative approach…a great musician and I recommend anyone listens to his new album…” Steve Hackett – Guitarist from Genesis \n“Trevor is very skilled…his compositions are beautiful\, atmospheric\, open and heart-felt…I admire him very much…I know he will have audiences falling over themselves to see him again and again…” Tommy Emmanuel – Award Winning Guitar Virtuoso \nTrevor Gordon Hall’s Social Media:\nInstagram  \nFacebook  \nTwitter \nYouTube \n  \nRaji Malik\n \nRaji Malik has performed and recorded hard rock and instrumental Indian-influenced music in the Philadelphia area for the past 30 years.  He is self-taught and started playing guitar when he was 19. Raji finds deep inspiration from many brilliant “Modern Fingerstyle” guitarists who are all disciples of the late Michael Hedges\, who reinvented the acoustic guitar with his harmonic percussive playing.  Raji hopes that his music brings peace\, healing\, and inspiration. \nMay this music bring you an appreciation of your goodness and a deeper sense of interconnection.  May we all continue to challenge ourselves to grow with honest self-reflection so that we may more clearly channel love.  That is why we are here. \n \nRaji Malik Social:\nInstagram \nFacebook \n

Why do we have lawns? They were at first a symbol of wealth and only became commonplace after the Industrial Revolution. But lawns are an invasive species!  They require large amounts of water consumption and chemicals to keep pristine and green\, killing off the beneficial insects (bees!!)\, and endless mowing contributes to unnecessary carbon emissions.
