DESCRIPTION:Overview\nCelebrate the re-introduction of fresh water to the Manayunk Canal in over 75 years! Join us to learn about the water quality improvements\, speak with local partners for the project\, and watch a mussel presentation from PWD Scientists. \nThe Community event begins at 11 am\, with speakers and presentations starting at 11:30 am. Educational tables\, activities\, and refreshments will be in the lobby and by the Canal. \n\n11:00 am – Event starts\n11:30 am–12:30 pm – Presentations in the theater\n12:30–2:00 pm – Tabling & refreshments\n1:00 pm – Ceremonial ribbon cutting on Lock St Bridge.\n\nA small gate opening ceremony will take place at the nearby site of the Flat Rock Dam. \nThis is a rain or shine event. \n  \nPWD is asking you to RSVP if you plan to be there: https://water.phila.gov/events/manayunk-canal-reopening/
