It’s our annual neighborhood potluck get-together\, September 27\, 2ish until 9:30 ish Outside\, in the glorious Fall weather. 245 Krams Ave.  \nThis party started as Neighbor Andrew’s 50th Birthday party. It’s now his 6th 50th birthday party. Make sure to wish him a happy birthday. It’s also Eliot’s 2nd Annual 59th Birthday celebration.  \nBring something to share\, eats or drinks\, if you’re inclined. We will have burgers and dogs and veggie sausage and beer and soft drinks and water. Probably some other treats too. Bring it raw. The grill will be hot and we will cook it. The bring is not mandatory. If you’re hungry\, come and eat. \nChildren and well behaved pets are welcome.  \nFeel free to bring any neighbors\, friends\, relatives\, or anyone at all if they’ll make the evening better. Please let your folks\, friends\, and neighbors know about it as I might not have their number. \nThis is an outdoor\, rain or shine event. He has performed and recorded hard rock and instrumental Indian-influenced music in the Philadelphia area for the past 30 years.  He is self-taught and began playing the guitar at the age of 19.  Raji’s initial musical influences were the great rock guitarists Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin)\, Jimi Hendrix\, and David Gilmour (Pink Floyd).  Then he discovered Shakti\, featuring 3 masterful Indian musicians and guitar legend John Mclaughlin playing a modified sitar-like acoustic guitar.  Raji promptly put away his electric guitar and immersed himself in the pure tones of the acoustic guitar.  Raji finds deep inspiration in many brilliant “Modern Fingerstyle” guitarists\, all of whom are disciples of the late Michael Hedges\, who reinvented the acoustic guitar with his harmonic\, percussive playing.  Raji hopes that his music brings peace\, healing\, and inspiration. \n“Adam lives what he writes and writes what he lives\, allowing him to\ndeeply connect with those he plays for and alongside of.”\n– Trevor Gordon Hall \nThese words will certainly ring true with anyone who has experienced folk/Americana artist Adam Monaco’s thoughtful songwriting and\npoignant presence firsthand.
