Fairmount Strings play Mendelssohn’s Octet
I know that sometimes I get hyperbolic, but the Mendelssohn octet is simply the greatest piece of chamber music ever devised by humans or God or anything. I have been hunting a live performance of this piece for 20 years and now here it is in our backyard and we all have to go.

Goal: get some sort of organized soundscape to happen after a startlingly brief rehearsal of hand signals. Deadline for sign-ups 5:20 pm ; rehearsal starts 5:25!
