“Big Musical Fun At The Foodery” or “Brian! Call me!”

February 16, 2026 by Eliot Duhan Leave a Comment

“If that wasn’t nice, what is?”

The RoxYunk Sunday Afternoon Music Club’s inaugural session was a hoot. About 12 players, most strangers to each other, joined voices in harmonious exhaltations and conjured the divine.

Some fiddle tunes, some old time chestnuts, some bluegrass standards (mostly courtesy of Brian the Mandolin player and if anyone reading this knows how to find him, ask him to send me an email at eliot@roxyunk.org)

It is right and proper that humans who live in a place should come together and exist in the world outside our homes, the one we share.

The music returns to the Foodery on March 15. All are welcome to play, to listen, to co-exist in a space in the world.
