RoxYunk.Org’s mission is to create, maintain, and strengthen connections in Manayunk, Roxborough, and the surrounding neighborhoods.
By organizing events which bring neighbors together, we foster the invisible bonds supporting continuity of community. This is the often overlooked aspect of the social fabric.
Neighborhood walks, welcome to new residents, informal musical events, activation of underloved public spaces all bring people together. Connections are created and enhanced.
Past events include the One Valley Bluegrass Festival, Bridge Music Weekly Summer Concerts, The Ridge Avenue Chili Cook Off, Weekly Sunday participatory music sessions, all draw on different elements and combine them in new ways.
