“Swap Recap” should rhyme, right? But it doesn’t and mores the pity because the event rhymed.
Tomorrow Today is a few small square feet of amazing books and zines and music filling a corner room at 5100 Umbria, home to Dead King Bread and Manayunk Timber, both amazing places as well. On Sunday afternoon, T2 hosted a room full of printers and poets and artists, sweet ethereal sounds drifting about and amazing smells of coffee and savory masa discos.
Each and every one of these folks brought something legitimately beautiful and amazing. Inner Loop’s Risographs are testaments to urban hope, Paradise Editions’ new translations of Jaroslav Hašek’s short stories (bet you wouldn’t have guessed we had a Hašek translator in the neighborhood!), Clockface Press’s beautifully textured anthology magazines, Prayers’ delicate shirts and drawings.
And a zine swap table! I left a half a dozen i’d finished with and took a handful which i’m greedily devouring.
Let’s keep an eye on Umbria Arts. They’re an amazing space and are going to be a big plus for RoxYunk.
Take a look at all of these. You’ll be glad you did.

Bonus Shout Out for – Underground Press
I’d meant to connect Underground Press, another RoxYunk generator of poetry and art as these folks are their colleagues in arts and arms and should have been there. But I didn’t so I’m calling them out to you all to have a look, They believe in the physical artifact which makes them aces in my book. Take a look. https://undergroundpress.ink/
